Fudge40
Having just moved I took some advise off a member on this forum (Armsid many thanks for the advise) with regards to how quick I had to inform the police. What is classed as a reasonable time scale & how quick do they visit to re-inspect? Anyway I ended up meeting with the local FEO while on a renewal visit to the forum member. The FEO advised that there is no need to visit my new house and that if I sent my letter in to advise I had changed my address the new license is issues within a week. To my surprise I had my new License within 48hours so credit where its due to Leicestershire Police. Now the house is almost sorted I might be able to get out more shooting

Ruster
So they don't have to come round and check the new spot you have your gun cabinet is suitable?
Whitebridges
You don't say whether you are a SGC or FAC holder or both. It is normal on a FAC to have a condition: 3. The holder of this certificate must, without undue delay, inform the Chief Officer of Police by whom the certificate was granted of any change of permanent address. The bold type is how it is on my cert. However on my SGC it states: 3. The holder of this certificate must, without undue delay, inform the Chief Officer of Police by whom the certificate was granted of any change in his permanent address. Minor changes. The meaning is all completely clear. From what you have posted above you have done everything you need to do. ferguson_tom
When I moved house there was a lovely lady at Herts and Beds who got my new license to me the next day. I had a phone call a couple of weeks later from the FEO to introduce himself and was told he didnt need to inspect the cabinet as I am now a cert holder security is my responsibility.
