gwion wright
anyone know the value of my second hand beretta 680 trap gun, good condition just had two new firing pins?
Gordon R
Any guess would be just that. Is action still tight? Position of top lever? State of blueing? Wood work - any gouges, cracks? Well finished or botched amateur job? Barrel length? Chokes - fixed or multi? Look on the various gun sites and find a comparable one. HDAV
Chokes original? Barrel length? Have stubs been replaced? Tight? LOP? Left or Right handcast
TIGHTCHOKE
About £200, cash ready, just let me know when you can send it to my RFD
Gordon R
I bought a very decent one in a North Wales Gun Shop - about two years ago - for £425 with a box of shells thrown in.
PhilR
Even if it's a bit tatty it can be bought up to scratch for reasonable money. They were a solid competition gun in their day, a forerunner of the 682.
gwion wright
wel i only took it off my mates as he was sel;ling up, even though i didnt need it, ive just paid nearly £200 for a full service and 2 new firing pins and a new beading. its in pretty good shape as far as i can see. Gordon R
Pins and bead are £40 tops. They won't add a penny to the value. At £200, I would have been in tears. If you seriously want a valuation, you need to supply photos and the details above.
HDAV
Are you looking to sell or just an idea of value? £200 sounds a lot for 2 firing pins what else was done? Edit: Gordon beat me to it... If its 30/32"with nice wood and original chokes then probably worth £6-700 to the right buyer may be more or as suggested may less. PhilR
I also think £200 for a 'service' and new pins is a bit strong. I deal directly with a gunsmith, no middleman gunshop involved, and for that sort of money I reckon I'd have got a new U bolt, main springs and stub trunnions fitted too. gwion wright
Wel I'm just stating how much I've paid so be it it might be a bit steep at least it's done now. I was just wondering how much I would get for the gun

We haven't As said if its had pins, springs, trunnions, bolts etc (full rebuild) £200 isn't bad. In fact pretty good for a full rebuild. You must like the gun to buy a trap gun (do you shoot trap) while not needing it and then spending £200 on it. gwion wright
I bought it then thought instead of thinking then buying it haha. So I thought I would get a gun Smith to give it a once over. It doesn't bother me if I can't sell it but was just putting it out there
Gordon R
The OP might have difficulty finding a prospective buyer. For someone asking for help with a valuation, I have never come across someone who wants to give so little information. No photos, no detail, but can you value it? Answer - with difficulty. Based on what has been forthcoming so far - £300 - I have had better for £420. Edited January 2, 2015 by Gordon R
gwion wright
Sorry I'm in work and have no photos. It's 30 inch barrels blueing is in good condition slight mark but nothing big. Stock has one or two small scratches as you can expect for the age of the gun. Will get pictures up when I finish work
Hardwoods Green
They never made a multichoke 680 neither was it produced in 32". Good gun though Edited January 3, 2015 by Hardwoods Green
Gordon R
Must be a long shift - still no photos or info. Why bother asking?
