stuartyboy
Guys, Asking on behalf of a friend. He is looking to apply for SGC and FAC but has an issue of where to fix his gun cabinet. He only has one suitable option but that is height restricted. In short, he's looking to buy a cabinet exactly 1 meter tall. Any shorter and he can't fit his rifle in, so a breakdown cabinet is no use, any longer and it won't fit into the space. Brattonsound are not doing made to measure cabinets just now as they are so busy. Any other company making cabinets to a specific size? Or is it possible to cut down a normal size cabinet and reweld to an exact size? He literally has no other place to site a cabinet but does have space for a small safe for bolt and ammo etc. As always, thanks for your help. archiebald
Could he lay a standard safe on its side? I have done this before.
brett1985
Could he lay a standard safe on its side? I have done this before. ^this^ he could temporarily lay it down in his loft or somewhere, until he can get one made to size. not a forever fix, but a good temporary one! i would be tempted to get hold of a welder, and see how much they would charge to make him one. stuartyboy
Thanks guys. He cant use the loft as he has no access to it and is very limited on a suitable site. Really is just the one small space he has to utilise. Does anyone have experience of having a made to measure cabinet built? Thanks guys. stuartyboy
Thanks for all your replies. Snow white, is it a big job to cut through and weld back on? Would probably need to cut a section out of the middle and weld the two halfs together so he can keep the two locks? Thanks for all your replies. clayman
We do a 7 slot safe 91cm tall 41 x 32 - £155 delivered. Suitable for carbines and/or breakdown guns. This is a non-standard B'sound, we have the factory make to our order some specials that fill gaps in their range, and this is usually ex-stock from us - currently have two due off production next week.
