hello all ,

well I popped out this afternoon for an hour to shoot some feral pigeons , and thought this is a perfect opportunity to try out my new .177 HW 100 TK , so off I went .

the idea was to shoot up inside the barn , thing is it was full of cows , so I had to sit outside ( not the best set up , but the famer wants it sorting ) anyway I sat and watched for a while , just to try and find the best spot to set myself up , when I noticed the birds dropping onto a roof of a derelict house behind me about 40 yrds .

so in a moment of madness ha-ha , I had my plan , instead of choosing either the barn of the house , I parked my Van bang in the middle , sat in the passenger seat , opened both widows ........ and bobs your uncle ! both points covered , I was shooting out 40 yrds towards the house and 50 yrds into the roof space of the barn , I wish I had a bit longer , but will be back up there soon enough

I shot a total of 10 birds , but managed to pick up 6 , ( one stuck on roof , two in the hawthorns as they fell off roof , and one in the barn that the blooming cows mushed into the straw and ill be ******** if I could find it ) Anyway not my biggest bag but good for the time I was there , and really enjoyed using the rifle for the first time on feather , Very impressed with its performance , even out to 50 yrds it was dropping the birds with ease , and very accurate . very happy indeed ,I can see it getting used loads .

Yep, the pic download is working fine.

Delighted you've had a good day with the HW. PCPs are amazing. I've one dedicated to squirrel. A small carbine that's been FACed to around 20ft lb whcih gives the 22 pellet a similar trajectory to a 177. Don't get to my wood that often but it's devastating on the squirrels when I do. ;)

Nice work Stevo , you will soon wonder how you have managed so long without a airgun .

When I get cereals behind the garden fence and the pigeon get on them I have managed to knock 30 or more off the wires that run along there from the patio door !

im starting to see exactly what you mean fenboy . another thing I must point out . one of deciding factors for buying this little carbine , was the stock , even though its a thumbhole , its a dead straight stock with the same profile on both sides which gives me the option of shooting it left and right handed like I did tonight , and like I said the overall size of it means I can swap from left to right inside the front of my van without struggling ,

Absolutely with you brother, I dismissed air for years after I got rifles and shotguns, I've just invested in an HW100, and its humbled me.

The golf course I shoot has become more productive, the ferals in the over winter beast barns have been rattled, great things.

Sounds like heaven :good::lol:

That's how most of my rabbiting is done, heated seats on, hot blowers on, few snifters (I don't need to go on the roads to get to my shooting land), and a dog that'll pick up down the lamp beam.

I proper Lord it up😄
