onatangent
Just saw this advertised and looks like it could be interesting. BBC2 9pm today, 26/01, and repeated Wednesday 23:20. KFC
Be interesting to contrast what should be with what is.
TIGHTCHOKE
Yes it looks interesting, he was publicising it on BBC Breakfast this morning.
onatangent
As you say, interesting to see how far adrift it has become. I can appreciate it was written a little while ago :-S. Saw a snippet on breakfast show as well this morning while in and out.
Twistedsanity
Maybe it should be recommended watching for the "im happy to let the police in to my home to check if im a terrorist without a warrant or appointment, nothing to hide here" brigade of PW who seem happy to give up all and any remaining privacy and freedoms that were afforded to us when this was written, somebody once asked David Cameron on a TV interview if he had read the magna carta and was aware of its implications to which he happily replied "Of course i haven't, its all in Latin" , clearly the PM is suffering with the early onset of alzheimers (or is just a liar) and had forgotten that Latin was taught as a compulsory subject at his college/university
KFC
Well, that was pretty disappointing. All he did was describe the history of Magna Carta but very little about what it contained.
Penelope
Well, I guess he is a historian. I thought it was ok. Well, that was pretty disappointing. All he did was describe the history of Magna Carta but very little about what it contained.
mudpatten
The trouble with Magna Carta is that it does`nt contain what some people think it does.
onatangent
The last ten minutes where more interesting to me. It was ok though, bit of history I knew nothing about before the program.
