Gordon R
None made since mid 1980s. Made in same Japanese factory as Nikko and Winchester, plus Parker Hale 800 series.
the hitman
Cheers It's a very well looked after gun with a wide top rib . I took it pigeon shooting last week , and shot well with it . Any idea of its value ?

the hitman
Thanks again Won't be selling just curious . Will the choking be stamped on the gun somewhere.?
Gordon R
Take the barrels off - look at the end where the shells go in. About 4" from that end - look at the barrels. They might well be stamped with IC and modified or *** and ****. * full choke ** 3/4 *** half **** quarter or improved cylinder.

sishyplops
Did they make a sporter? I thought they were all trap or skeet for the Indy , standard shadows may have been different though
the hitman
It's improved & modified , with 27in barrels , so I just thought sporter rather than skeet or trap . Thanks for all the help. Edited February 2, 2015 by the hitman
sishyplops
Is it deffinately an Indy with the 3 vents each side on the forend? I ask as I drove 100 mile round trip to buy a shadow Indy to find out it was a shadow 7 to be fair to the guy it did say shadow Indy on his licence, I still bought it , it was imp and mod 27" with the broad air flow rib, but there's nothing on the planet like the rib on a shadow Indy trap gun Edited February 2, 2015 by sishyplops
the hitman
So is it a sporter or a tightly choked skeet .?
Westley
If it is an Indy it will have a vented mid rib (the bit between the barrels) make sure that you keep that rib well oiled inside. Stand the barrels for a day, muzzle down, on some newspaper, then turn them breech down to make sure the oil has coated the inside. I was shooting next to a guy in a DTL squad when his Indy blew up. When we examined it, it had rusted through the bottom barrel from inside the vented mid rib. I was fortunate as a piece of side rib was stuck in the ground just in front of me. I never wore sandals when shooting after that.
