harpoonlouis
Facing flight to New Zealand so got to replace the old Kindle in time, anyone upgraded to the Paperwhite? Worth it ? Not sure if subdued lighting on the plane will make the change worthwhile. Anyone tried both? thanks
Marki
I own a standard Nook and travel a lot. I've never struggled to read it on the plane with the overhead spotlight. I've thought about upgrading a few times but I like the battery life, not sure what difference the backlight would make?
mickyh
I bought the Wife a Paperwhite a couple of years ago. She swears by it and the battery lasts forever. Go for it.
Twistedsanity
I have a paperwhite and it's excellent, something to do with the way it's lit not hurting your mince pies

amateur
My wife's Kindle died the death before Christmas, so I bought her a Paperwhite. Very much clearer and brighter, but I hope that it lasts longer than the standard Kindle

parapilot
I have a paperwhite and it's excellent, something to do with the way it's lit not hurting your mince pies I love my paperwhite. Only issue screen scratches quite easy but I'm sure they all like this and idiot here didn't use a screen protector lol
Chris Bb
Does the Paperwhite have a touch (flick) screen? I have a standard Kindle and find the side buttons slightly annoying.
vole
Dont go Apple , no point .Standard Kindle with a Fenix eo1 in your teeth . You then have a useable light to go for a wee . Works for me . Kindle runs much longer without a backlight .
