Gareth82
I think it's time at some point this year to say good bye to my def 90, I do like it but I'm looking more at the pickups alon the lines of the navarra, l200 and hilux, I'm looking more towards the 3.0ltr hilux, what's people's thought on the above if they've owned either of the three Atb Gareth
Mitchiet123
My dad had a 10 plate Navara bought pre reg. was the tekna connect plus model so top of the range but it was so smooth, quite fast (about 10 secs 0-60) so not far off a disco 4 speed, really comfy and had all the kit heated seats, Bluetooth, cruise etc. great off road with the right tyres, and got about 35 mpg on a run. Drove the l200 and I don't think it compares in the slightest, very rolly in the corners and sluggish underpowered. Rubbish interior unless you get the barbarian version at £28k/30k... Heard very good things about the 3.0l hills but not driven one. Atb, Mitch
WinchesterDave
Have you looked at a D Max?
Gareth82
Not had chance to look at the isuzu range yet, but heard very good things
WinchesterDave
My father and I test drove one a few weeks back now, it was impressive certainly. Loads of torque low down and they look good too. Isuzu also do a range of gun security accessories you can have fitted in back, too.
al4x
The only issue with the hilux is economy, yes you will get 30mpg from the 3l but no more. The competition are getting a fair bit more
BrowningDJC
I wouldn't say l200's are underpowered in the slightest, it's got the same power figures as the 3l hilux. L200 all day for me, super select 4wd system sets it apart for me.
al4x
That's the big plus for me as well. The older l200's are a little sluggish but 10 plate and on they get the higher output engine
Mitchiet123
L200 has 173bhp and the navara has 230bhp. L200 takes 13 seconds 0-60. But then again the Navara is a tad more expensive! Even 173hp seems quite low for such a big car...
BrowningDJC
That's the v6 Navara I take it, at the end of the day if you want performance you don't buy a 4x4 Edited March 30, 2015 by BrowningDJC
