Now we are looking for some low level cover what does everyone use or recommend to use the cheaper the better.
Scully
Once the sun gets on it you'll be surprised how much growth has been lying dormant just waiting for the sun. We now have foxglove, brambles and all manner of grasses growing in ours where before there was nothing.

Alycidon
Laurels. Plant them, at least 20 feet apart, 30 is better, then after a few years half cut them through and lay them over, the bits touching the ground will re root. Nice thick low level cover that you dog can get into when the need occurs. I lay about 30 or 40 a year at this time of year from stock I planted 4 - 7 years ago.
