DeepThought
Hi I was giving my Beretta A300 Outlander a good oiling ready for clays tomorrow and I can't get it back together. I removed the breech bolt as I have done many times before and now it just won't go back. It returns as far as the breech closed position but then hits something solid rather than springy as I'm used to and just won't budge back any further. What on earth could I have done? Please help if you can, I'll be a laughing stock tomorrow if I can't sort this out.
TDS
Could be the rat tail at the back of the bolt block is not entering the spring cup in the stock ..if it is, get a pair of tweezers and lift up/down...
DeepThought
Sorry, panic over. It reseated after I gave it... Let's say a little more persuasion. Most odd, and more than a little troubling. Any idea why it would have caused this? I'm guessing pilot error.
TDS
As previous , it seems like the rat tail was slightly out of line with the stock spring tube and catching on the edge

CharlesP
I find it helps to drop the trigger group out of the action. That way you can actually see what's going on, which helps. I simply cannot acquire the knack of blind reassembly.
HunterBen
as Charles says, drop the trigger and line up the tail or blindly turn upsidedown and keep moving it till it lines up....great gun tho.

humperdingle
I occasionally had a similar issue with a Urika 391... but I was just being too gentle with it
