OK, got my FAC back with my 223 straight pull slot but which rifle should I be looking to buy for practical rifle and CSR (more importantly are there any I should be avoiding) hoping to spend up to £1500 plus optics but if I can get something cheaper it will allow me to modify it to my liking.

I'm planning on getting one from Bradley Arms but you could also try Southern Gun Co, NW Custom for Spikes Tactical or Lantac if you win the lottery. I'm sure that there are lots more though!

From what I have seen so far everyone seems to have their favourite so you generally find people absolutely loving a company or reviews that say they are worse that Ryanair...

Good luck!

I was thinking the BAR15. I emailed Bradley Arms earlier for an idea of costs and options.

I spoke to Mark Bradley a few weeks ago to get an idea of what was he could do - essentially the answer is 'pretty much anything that you want!'

Best thing is to get a rough idea of what you want and a budget and he can work something out from there. There are so many different options it's scary; grips, rails, barrels, receivers, triggers... It's easy to go from £1500 to £5k in a couple of minutes!

ive done a bit of research and unless something comes up in the £1k price bracket before the weekend i can see NW customs getting my hard earned. Spykes tactical have a lot of love from our American cousins and NWC are selling them here, I;m going to have a look on Saturday.

Good, seems to be a top bloke and an active practical shooter so not just some bloke wanting your cash. My problem now is my budget isn't going to get me what i want, once I've got an optic and a hand full of magazines I'm looking at close to £2k. got some decisions to make. what I could do is not buy the BR99 shotgun I wanted (Wayne says there problematic at best) and put that cash to the 223.
