Fredwalton
What are people thoughts on flappers as I'm considering getting one but wanted to know peoples thoughts on them?

HIDENSEEK
What are people thoughts on flappers as I'm considering getting one but wanted to know peoples thoughts on them? Coupled with an intermittent timer good for putting movement in your pattern. I wouldn't go decoying without one now, but obviously you need a dead bird to start it off. I thaw out a frozen bird the day before unless I'm confident of getting a fresh bird quick. AA decoys (no connection) sell the turbo flapper with timer for £45 +p&p. Plenty of previous posts on here about where to place, battery size & charging etc. It won't work miracles, if the pigeon aren't coming to the field it won't decoy them! flyshooter
Seems to be quite a few different opinions on how to use them. I have an ff5 on order with variable timer and flap speed, and am having difficulty in finding out just what extending bouncer pole would be suitable for mounting on (weight) with standing crops. The flapper my shooting buddy uses works really well drawing them in, hence my investment.

I have emailed AA decoys about them but never got a reply as to buy online I needed to my company name and tax number? But as I said they never got back to me. Thanks I feel this could be a bit of kit I should invest in, there is the East Anglian game fair next weekend so will have a look for one there I think. Thanks
kenholland
they do work but not every time if the birds come in and flare off I take it in but that's my opinion. if they still flare off then I now it's some think else.

Penelope
A flapper I'd agree with; peckers are for decoying pigeon shooters. flappers and peckers are a must bit of kit but believe me the best decoy kit you,ll ever own is a flask,as soon as you pour a cup of tea the little ******* dive in
