having a slow morning shooting over winter rape I started to here in the distance but getting closer was what I would only call the village idiot shouting ALL ABROAD FOR LLANYRAVON I watched him all the way up to my decoys he walked straight to my flapper which was going like a goodun having a quick look about he quickly pick it up screaming Susie Susie Susie kiss it and run off at warp speed, I couldn,t tell you to this day what happened to Susie but all I know it cost me a flapper

10 mins in a plastic bag with a hair dryer pointing in, tried warming them on the way stinks the car out, just try and remember the night before like I do(sometimes)

flappers and peckers are a must bit of kit but believe me the best decoy kit you,ll ever own is a flask,as soon as you pour a cup of tea the little ******* dive in

true it does look like rain, maybe I shouldn,t have said anything, maybe I should,ve said it looks soaking wet, maybe I should have not posted anything,maybe but again to ME the ground doesn,t look like its been drizzling all day on it leaves are dry(no droplets) just odd I guess.

BUNNY BLASTER I,m not trying to say anything just pointing out I can,t see rain sodden ground,clothes,cap,birds,leaves. COSD, no ones calling anybody a lair just pointing out that on the picture it doesn,t look wet. CHARLIE 79 I,ve taken many pictures of my bags in good and bad weather and I think all the pictures are a true reflection of what the weather was doing on that day, I,ll stand by my post be it right or wrong, I can,t see a rain sodden field, clothes, leaves, birds, PC I read all your post and pictures all good stuff, just saying picture doesn,t seem to match your description of the ovents of the days bad weather if this is a crime then I,m guilty,

sorry but the picture does not make any sense? you said it was all the time constant heavy drizzle which was soaking everything? you said we became very wet on the way back to the car? what I,m seeing on the 93 pigeon day is dry clothes, cap, gun, hedge row and no rain or rain droplets on the rape plus would,nt the pigeons feathers be glistening with rain on them mine do, ground looks like it haven,t seen rain for a while too? sorry but I can,t see how that picture be right on your column

always got one in the jeep very handy against rain plus I find birds don't seem to be bothered by them

I,m going out on 3 turnip fields tomorrow,problem being the sheep are on the one field I want to shoot,can let them onto the other fields so may have to set up and just hope the sheep move farther down the bottom of the field after the first shot,still I,m looking forward to my first day on the turnips, ps be happy with half your bag tomorrow

only pigeons I,m finding are in the freezer from the summer months

went to my rape fields to day to have a look, plenty in trees a half a dozen or so driving in for a feed so after sitting it out for a hour looking to see which way the birds flight in I desided to let a banger off to see them rise and flight back in, well tomorrows shot is off, one bang and gone,gone,gone, pigeons not really hitting rape hard yet still alternative food around, that's winter decoying, you can get good bags or poor bags but the best bag you,ll get is a bag of sandwiches

looks great but how long woukd the decoy keep pecking before it stops,

went on re con this afternoon and its the first time I,ve seen pigeons diving in on TURNIPS plants, wasn't many but may get a couple of days shooting if the birds keep coming,VERY ODD CROP TURNIPS has anyone on here shot over turnip plants,its about a foot tall.

I get my best bags on wind days, dont like hot still sunny days, birds seem to be on the wing more on a wind day, but there`s no guarantee with birds so one tip IF you don't go you will hit sweet fa,
