 :good: excellent stuff, how did the day go? :(

Frank.

How did the day go?

We caught that lot in 4 hours, mainly on one field that we could not shoot as it was too close to a road. On this field we put out 60 nets.

We only had one 'sticker' that we had to use a ferret finder on. We used four ferrets in total, and most were last years young.

Our 'Apprentice' ferreter made the classic mistake of throwing a rabbit in a net to 'Wabbiter', who missed catching it and away it went when it hit the floor :):)

It was a really terrific good day out, and one of the best that I've ever had. I used to do lots of ferreting years ago, and it was good to get back into it.

This was the first time that 'Wabbiter' had seen a ferret finder used in earnest - prior to this 'Wabbiter' claimed that he could call his ferrets out of the hole if they were stuck - well all I can say is that he ended up hoarse on the set that the rabbit got stuck in before we used the finder :):D:yes:

So, the ferrets had a great time, so did the rabbits and the weather was great.

now hold on a cotton' pickin' minute  . The wabbiter did not drop it!!! the chuffin wabbit landed 6feet in front of him due to lousy throw by trainee not my fault at all.....yet to meet someone with 9foot arms!!! HA HA!! as soon as i do will ask 'em to reach into the depths of your pocket for your wallet :) HA HA!!

On two occasions i have managed to whistle my ferrets out of a set when they have laid up both occasions witnessed too. However i do defer to the grey wrinkly one and a locator is without a doubt the way to speedily remove a laid up ferret :good: never too old to learn !!

It was a the best day i have had too, the ferrets have come on in leaps and bounds since that day so high hopes for next season, fingers crossed a wabbit in my long net!!!

Thanks for kind words and will keep you posted.
