dazb1967
I'm looking at buying a new semi to replace my Escort but I'm a bit confused at the differences in the A400 i.e Xtreme, Xplor, Xcel, sorry if this has been covered before, I'll only be using it for pigeons, I have read about the Kick off system it's just the different models thats got me a bit confused. WinchesterDave
I don't shoot berreta and this may be wrong but my understanding is the extreme is a wildfowling gun, I think it has a 3 1/2" chamber. xplor is your field gun, xcel sporting clay gun.... correct me someone please if I am wrong haha
a303
Xtreme is 3 1/2 , xtreme unico is 3 1/2, xplor is 3" and excel is 3" for clays.

Cosd
I'm looking at buying a new semi to replace my Escort but I'm a bit confused at the differences in the A400 i.e Xtreme, Xplor, Xcel, sorry if this has been covered before, I'll only be using it for pigeons, I have read about the Kick off system it's just the different models thats got me a bit confused. Have a look at the Beretta website, that will give you the differences. I use the Xtreme for pigeon shooting and think it's an excellent gun, my shooting buddy uses the Xplor which is also a great gun. Apart from the obvious difference in finishes, the main difference is the recoil systems. Having shot both, they are much of a muchness using standard pigeon loads up to 32g. Both soft on recoil and very smooth to shoot. I think the Xtreme's recoil system starts to shine once you start getting into heavier wildfowl loads, and the heavier you go the more the difference. Saying all that, the Xplor recoil system is fantastic in its own right. I don't think I'd be disappointed if I had that gun, it's only because I've shot them side by side to compare that I have this opinion. These are great guns, you wouldn't be disappointed in my opinion. Cos

browning123
I've got a Xplor Light 12g without kick-off - fantastic gun with no recoil. Edited May 2, 2015 by browning123
Wilts#Dave
Xplor Action for me, no kick off. I don't doubt they are effective if you really need reduced recoil (they don't recoil much with a 32g load anyway) but I can't stand the look of them on the end of the stock! Bought it because it's a true left hander really, such a nice gun to use and perfect for a pigeon hide.
shootgun
I've got he Xplor Action with kick-off and pod, brilliant gun... I'm shooting the Gamebore Mammoth Magnum 50 grams BB for fox, and i barely notice the recoil. Pigeon loads, shoots like a dream!
