johnnytheboy
We have a bit ground where we shoot ducks, it's just rough ground with a few ponds and the rest is grassland for bulls. We get a fair few crows flighting over, I'm just looking for a it advice on decoying them etc, we have made a huge effort in conservation for waterfowl and just want to thin out these ******* to keep up the conservation work. robbiep
I've always had a fair bit of joy with decoying corvids using a decent-sized piece of sheeps fleece and a couple of red ropes/ribbons. Put that with a 2 or 3 crow deeks around it. From 200 feet up it seems to look like a dead lamb, and they'll come wheeling in for a closer look. The other alternative, if you can guarantee to be there at least daily, is a ladder trap.

steve_b_wales
I place my decoys facing into the wind, and approx. 8 -10 feet apart. One of the best bits of kit is my Primos Power Crow caller. Used correctly, it's brilliant on attracting Crows, Jackdaws and Rooks. One good tip is to keep yourself hidden as much as possible, and keep movement down to a minimum .A Corvid's eyesight is very good.
