Dasher
Hi all, I expect this has been done many times before but I know peoples opinions change over time so please bare with me and not suggest the "Search feature". I have a secondhand CZ452 HMR which I have put about 200 rounds through, after every trip out I have only ever put an oiled bore snake through it and now I think it could probably do with a proper clean to remove any copper fouling etc, Could anyone please recommend a suitable solvent/cleaner and a recommended method of application? Kind regards Dasher
markm
Bore foam left for 15 mins. Scrub with a nylon brush (I never use brass brushes) and then cleaned out with patches. Cotton buds cut in half and threaded onto the end of the rod works brilliant.
steve_b_wales
If its still accurate, don't bother. My old BRNO rifle had a few 1000 rounds put through it, and never lost its accuracy.
