TaxiDriver
My other topic made me forget briefly, Has anyone else suffered a detached tendon in their hand/finger ? My advice for what it's worth, Don't ! Was pulling on something at work and something 'went' in my hand/wrist, It bruised immediately and swelled up, went back to base, had some first aid = ice pack and was sent back out to work. It went again, more painful so back to base, took myself to a&he, Got rayed and examined, strapped up and had to go back in the AM to see a 'plastics' consultant. Examined and Ultrasound done, now believed I have detached the tendon in my middle finger on my right hand, I'm now off two weeks rest, waiting for the swelling and bruising to go down, then a further ultrasound and 'Plastics Consult' appointment to decide on surgery. Surgery involves cutting into the palm and the finger to reattach tendon then approx 12 weeks rehabilitation. I'm hoping, when everything settles, I may still have some tendon use and it won't be necessary.

TaxiDriver
pulling on something at work? sprained your middle finger?? do you work in the porn industry by any chance? Lol I realised as I read back what I typed that the filthy minded amongst you would pick up on that lol. I was pulling out a slide out ramp, which is stowed under the beaver tail bed of the truck, initially You need to pull it out by the finger tips, then once it's out far enough you can get a proper grip of it. proud dad
I cut every tendon in my wrist when a pane of glass fell out of a window onto it. It's the strangest feeling when you try to move your fingers but can't.

My sympathy's TD We seem to be a small "select" group, Done that just recently, only partially severed, 3 weeks in plaster, sprained the wrist while in plaster trying to get rid of a mozzie on my hand, not good or comfortable, I'm 4weeks out of plaster at the moment. Yours come back to normal ok? @longspoon
