johnbaz
Hi allI bought a starting pistol awhile ago with no grips on!!I just wanted it as a wall hanger and thought i'd make a set of grips, Rather then using wood I thought i'd give Antler a go!It was easier to work than I thought it would be!! The gun.. Grips sized and roughly shaped.. They still need polishing and the holes drilling for the screws to attach them, Also I'll be using superglue to firm the inside of the antler, Should have made a stabilising unit really!! They're not brilliant but It's relieved the boredom a bit of being off work for almost a year!! John
demonwolf444
Nice stuff! I like working with antler and horn, the dust is a horrible but it files and carves nicely so long as your tools are sharp also polishes up nicely without a lot of effort. Have to agree, The dust stinks awful! I have a 4M particle mask and plenty of replacement cartridges so that I don't inhale it, I don't think the dust would help my Asthma John
