WelshMike
I was out with the rifle last night after the foxes on a farm where I shot 6 foxes a couple of weeks ago so was not hopeful. I saw a couple on the next farm over but they had no interest in coming to see me despite lots of calling. I decided to check one last field as I was leaving and saw a fox on the next field over in amongst the cattle. Switched on the NV and gave it a few squeaks, to have it trotting nicely towards me. I just needed it to come through the fence and into the field I was in. Unfortunately the cattle (well a couple of bullocks) were obviously not keen on the fox and proceeded to chase it about 50 yards in the opposite direction. This behaviour carried on for about 10 minutes until I got the electronic caller going which finally ended the fox hating cow saga. I have never seen cattle take such a dislike to a fox before and wondered what other peoples experiences were. At least it ended well with a 3/4 grown dog fox cub despatched at 70 yards with the .243.
fruity
How weird, not experienced it myself .. Well done on getting him in the end .. There seems to be a population explosion of Fox's this Year I've shot more then ever before looking at my quarry spreadsheet the other night

I have had a good number (well for me anyway) but have taken on a fair bit more ground.

Studying my spreadsheet, the smaller permissions (under 50 acres) seem to give a higher yield of foxes compared to the larger ones. I try and go out every other night if I can during a working week
Scully
Recently let out cattle or those with young will harass dogs no end. They do with mine initially but settle down once they've seen her a few times.
Cranfield
I have seen cattle (bullocks and cows) chase foxes over a field in broad daylight, I am not sure if they mean it harm, or are just inquisitive.

I am away with work for the next 2 weeks so hopefully you will overtake me. Keep up the good work bud.

Take it easy.
