Dbw1shrops
A bucket full around the margins twice a week should be fine but this could depend on how big the pools are if they are quite big just feed the areas you want to shoot. Scully
We do ours even less than that. We have a few plastic deeks floating about also, whether it works or not i have no idea, but what harm can it do. They cost us nothing to feed. scotslad
Just feed wotever u need to, which will depend on duck numbers. All u want is a little bit left when u next visit, i only feed once a week/fortnight come the winter Depending on access is like but handy if u can put a couple of big drums/storage so u can fill when dry and u can get accross fields and easy to feed without needing a vehicle or carrying feed all the way
Biggthepool05
Heard that mixing the Barley with honey can attract ducks as well other ***** can taste it off them lol
Arley
Cant beat a frosted bags of spuds for Mallard mixed with some Barley/Wheat. I have access to some large freezers at work and have got 10 bags in there at the moment. I payed £ 2.50 for 25kg sacks so there work out cheaper than Wheat. Have also fed bananas and bread, when I was keener I used to collect spud peeling from the local chip shop and use them as well. I have a friend who gets left overs from a brewery and he has some great flight ponds. Just a word of caution be careful what you feed and the amount, you can end up attracting large amounts of rats and also killing fish. A auto feeder works well but someone decided they would take mine rather than buy there own. I might purchase two new ones when I get paid as they will pay for themselves in the amount of fuel I will save.

Stimo22
We have a lake and a pond and have eight automatic feeders, six on the lake two on pond. They Are Kenco feeders that throw in a vertical line so can be thrown in a straight line, we go them from America and they have two batteries with spings on in each. I will take some photos on Monday to show you how we have them set up, we just feed all round edges weekend and then the auto feeders go off twice a day for up to 20 seconds and are light sensitive
