then i remembered the one that i snapped the bolt on, so i drilled the whole out, got a new nut and bolt, drilled some washers to the correct size, bolted it back together but not to tight so it could still swing, locked it in place with some loc tight :good:

originally i was quite happy with my seats as they were in good nick and the foam was also in good nick and according to the bloke who is doing my roof lining there all original, foam and trim and thats why hes is pretty sure the millage of 30 thousand millage could be genuine, but now iv had them cleaned and in some photos they dont look to bad, iv now decided im not overly happy with them, and i feel with everything else looking brand new the seats could seriously let it down.

so do i have them re-covered or not, heeeeeeeeeelp :hmm::hmm:

even the brand new ones dont look perfect...its the nature of the beast....they are functional.......as long as they are clean and free from damage...i thinki they will add value, being totally original...

thats what i thought, it might be better to keep them original, and if the new owner wants to change/re-cover then they can, i can get the correct cover from martrim for £12 a meter of a 1.4m/68" roll and i thank 5-6 meters should do the lot then what it will cost to have them done :hmm::hmm:

anal more like......................(without the rubber)...

its getting to the stage that if anyone went near Bonnie picking their nose....you would be there with a meat cleaver ready to take their hand off if they tried to scrape a bogey off under her mudguard...

I need my roof lining doing as well, I am interested to see how good yours is when you get it. What sort of shape is the metal frame in on the front section of yours? The frame on my front section has seen better days, it's the bits that go from the front to the back that are a bit rusty on mine as in there is a 6 inch section on each side that has returned to the iron oxide from which it came. On the plus side they will be the easiest bit to fix because they are just straight lengths of metal.

my back ones were fine, just the drivers side front was pretty much dust, and i do mean dust, but i just cut a new strip from my old rear tub floor and that will get riveted to the middle arch bit but the bloke who is re doing it, i will of cause keep you informed when i get it back :good::good:

Once the roof is on they will look like new, trust me.

hope so :lol::lol:
