then i set about putting the air oil bath cleaner on, sat it in place then realised i needed a clasp or something like that to tighten the bracket in place that holds it in place, so i was going to put the big hose on and realised i didnt have any jubilee clips big enough :no:

my mate finally turned up at 3pm instead of 1pm, first plan was to get the door hinges on and get the doors on, got the brackets on and offered the door up, no where near fitting in a month of sundays, unless the windscreen fits inside the front door my about 2 inch :no:

so off with the windscreen, that i most obviously put on wrong.and the rear tub needed to go back a bit, it was then we realised that it wasnt even bolted on yet so thet was ok as there was o bit of room for it to go back. only problem was where the spout of the diesel tank goes up through the rear bulk head it was already butt up to it. so we had to drop the diesel tank, it was then after an hour my mate had to go off and pick some one up, ill be back in an hour he said, sure, i thought. 2 hours later, did he come back, did he ****. so now im left alone to square up the rear tub and bolt it all down, as in my mind i wanted it doing before i left the garage, not an easy feat on yourself, them ******* bolt at the back and then having to have 4 foot long arms to get the nuts on underneath and over the chassis, what a task, but i got there in the end, :good::good:

that spanners been broke a long time there a shiny new crack and a black rusty crack when you got splatted by the rear axle it brought back a sad day when i was a 15 year old apprentice my mate was working on a suspension leg of a escort car using a so called new spring compressor well all i heard was bang run in and the top bearing of the suspension leg was embedded in the side of my mates head suffice to say he was dead so you where very very lucky
