Recording from NV Scope

You need a DVR with an old style av input (not HDMI or anything like that), some people have success with the angel eye DVR recorder which is quite reasonably priced. I use a very cheap Chinese mini dvr-c which works OK but there is no screen and it can be hit and miss whether it records, but it was only £16 so I didn't expect much.

Yea that's my general findings .. either cheap and dodgy or expensive and dodgy!! I was hoping to find a way of outputting wirelessly and then would have an app on my iPhone to pick up the recording - the iPhone being mounted to the scope and acting as a monitor so for example two of us could watch out for rats etc. But no joy......

Maybe worth £16 and a bit of grumbling about it not always working...

I tjink you can get something to convert the signal into something an iPhone can cope with but you'll have terrible lag and it won't be good for shooting. You can also get wireless transmitters but I don't know too much about that side of things, perhaps Dave G will have more understanding of those.

the easiest and most effective and cheapest way is to use the av out from the nightvision and make a lead up to run into the external dvr,,the angel eye is a decent one for the money and will record quite effectively BUT making the wire to fit is a pain in the neck due to the wire being really thin,

I have had some great results from these, the only other downside is the fact that the screen on the mini dvr is 2 1/2 inch which is small,
