flycoy
Seen a couple of comments about flies on the dead birds, although it looks like summer has left us faster than Bakerboy at the bar!! Any hot days will see loads of flies finding your hide so best way to keep them free of flies is to buy some hessian sand bags from your local builders merchants about a quid each. dampen the whole bag and put the dead birds straight in and fold over the top, the flies will land on the outside and sometimes lay eggs on the blood but they cant get through the material and the moisture keeps them cooler. If you washing them after a few uses best do it in a bucket in the garden not in the washing machine!!!!!!!! Flycoy
pigeon controller
Carp sacks work very well. The hide I spray with horse fly repellent every month or so and that keeps iis clear, " No Flies on Us"
Farma Geddon
I once had some hessian sacks that were used for cloves. They had a beautiful aroma and kept the flies off. So soaking są ks in some ting like that Hippy oil would work . Edited September 6, 2015 by Farma Geddon
flycoy
Farma Geddon .........Don't know if the misses would go out with me after that,............................. got any left??!
Farma Geddon
I suspect we have our sacks crossed, though not touching. Anyway , you should not be asking my misses out . The scent goes after a while hence the need for so.e stinky oil so them flies can't smell pigeon

bakerboy
I use old net curtail stitch into to sack format. The mesh is too fine for the eggs to get through. Flycoy! I never go to the bar , I leave that to you young working people , us pensioners have to be careful with our money

Longchalk
Sacrifice a couple of birds by ripping the guts out and chuck them in the open near your stash. Most of the flies will go there and leave your bag alone.
