Duckandswing
Simple question and as per the title really. I shoot clays each week putting around 200 carts through my gun each week. Lead 7.5 shot through 1/4 and 1/2 chokes. Is there a usage limit to a choke? A point at which new ones should be purchased? I don't want to cause any detriment to the shotguns you see. dougall
never heard of one wearing out...the odd loose one can get damaged but general wear & tear not an issue
wymberley
As someone once rightly said on PW about magazines (plastic on Tikka T3s, I think) - they're not supposed to be disposable items.
henry931
I highly doubt you will ever wear out a choke with lead loads. Every now and again a rogue magnum steel load puts a scratch in the forcing cone / choke in my auto.
