Stonepark
rem case, steel 39gr, fed 209a primer, multimetal, 1/8 12 bore felt under shot, 1 3/8 load 1439fps 10,100psi fed case, steel 37.5gr, fed 209a, multimetal, 1 1/2 load, 1355fps, 9,700psi win case, blue dot, 41.0gr, win 209, multimetal, 12 bore 1/8 felt, 1 3/8 load, 1371fps, 9000psi Are the closest I have in my manual. I suspect the latter two may be workable. You can normally sub cheddite 2000 for fed 209a, but if for win209 need to reduce charge by at least 1 grain if not 2. Stonepark
Not sure about your primer substitution suggestions. Sorry, cheddite 2000 than 209 My primer sub list goes as below: - Hot Fed 209a CCI209M FIO616 NS688 CX2000 Med FIO615 NS 686 CX1000 WIN209 CCI209 Low FIO614 NS684 CX50
widgeon man
Fed 209a I would not mess with unless you are following data sheet, a very hot primer which can cause noticeable rise in pressure
kent
The power manufacturer you mention has loads on its webpage that I have tried and o prefer the sam1 load out of those

kent
I AI am getting a litte confsed at the replacement bits and dont want to drop a #### I only have cheddite cases at the moment and blue dot what wads and powder should i buy looking for a good load for geese in bs and somthing to cover the odd duck in 2s or 3s steel cheers Get published data with stated pressures and choose a low one. It's so easy to put out wrong data on the forums 2 or 3 shot it don't matter it's the weight of charge and material the shot is made from
islandgun
I AI am getting a litte confsed at the replacement bits and dont want to drop a #### I only have cheddite cases at the moment and blue dot what wads and powder should i buy looking for a good load for geese in bs and somthing to cover the odd duck in 2s or 3s steel cheers I know how you feel I am in the same boat, american powders and european cases. I dont know of any recipes that combine the two, (for example), I use Remington cases and blue dot or steel for my 10g (non-tox and lead) and cheddites and vectan for my 12g,( lead) Some say you can exchange cheddite cases for federal, and others say you should never alter recipes, American recipes (blue dot) often use different wads often un-available over here, I can only suggest you find a recipe that you have most of the components for. but buy the rest, remember that wads and cases are cheap compared to powder and delivery is less, especially if you can source un-primed cases, I doubt anyone will give you a recipe they have altered for fear of repercussions
