lakeside1000
My old shells were looking a bit rough so I decided to have a go at flocking them, bought some coloured flock from the bay, came from china so a bit of a wait but they only cost me £5 for 7 small pots, cleaned all the shells , about 18 altogether, then one by one I coated them in some matt varnish and mixed and sprinkled the flock on, a touch of white paint to finish and they came out really good, took them out yesterday to try them out, well pleased with the number of birds that decoyed straight in and even landed amongst them, a really cheap facelift and well worth the effort. lakeside1000
I didn't think it was worth it as one flocked shell is like any other flocked shell , my camera is not working at the moment but if I can get it fixed who knows,
ollie
How often would you do this? I bought some flocked full body crow decoys at the start of the year and they are already looking a bit worse for wear. Maybe give them a facelift over the winter.
