Smokersmith
I guess this is linked to Aaron Heading's interest in the ground at Chalk lane. In short, this is great news. If nothing else, it's got me thinking about re-living my youth and getting back into trap shooting ..... off the Beverly for 100 ABT tomorrow

chesterse
Sounds like good news! It will be great to have somewhere else to go locally. Used to shoot there years ago and particularly enjoyed Ray Wing's around the tower shoots on a Saturday morning. All for about £2.50 for 25 birds! Smokersmith
If anyone knows of any website, or contact information then please share ... I loved my ABT on Sunday, and will be supporting the new initiative on a weekly basis ...

I really hope so as trap shooting barely exists in norfolk but a good friend of mind rang cpsa and they had no idea about it and left a message with aaron heading but heard nothing back
Smokersmith
I was squadded with the Chairman of Lincs CPSA, and he had heard directly from Aaron's partner about the venture ... So fingers crossed. Edited September 29, 2015 by Smokersmith
Smokersmith
Well .... my father went there this morning, and is delighted to confirm the news. Apparently it was like old times there, with many of the old faces. Great news.

fenboy
Is the ground still being ran as a club or is it now just turn up ,pay and shoot ??
Smokersmith
To my knowledge it will be pay and shoot. Not been yet myself (shooting OT at Nuthampstead), but will not be long. My father was very pleased with what he saw, not only the changes to the ground, but many of the old faces from years gone by who will now start to use the ground more regularly. Let the smokin' commence

Smokersmith
I was there on Sunday and was told it will be a fiver a round. Opening day on Sat the 14th, and then open Wed till Sunday every week after that. I do feel for the folks from the old Gun club who may feel "gazumped" .... but feel very positive that the new ownership will work very hard to make it a success.
