Guest
Have a CZ 452, as many of you will know the barrel is bolted to the stock. Has anyone tried getting rid of this screw in a bid to float the rifle? If you have how did it go for you?
Underdog
I don't think the barrel is bolted to the stock bud!
kennett
There are 2? Screws into the action but the barrel is floated. Ruger 10/22 is the only one I know that has a fixing between barrel and stock
welshwarrior
I've removed the screw a few times from them and floated around the nut and barrel all have shot well.

Will check my mod2e later but am sure it is held by the receiver only.

Underdog
My humble apologies, there is a bolt into the barrel under the rear sight and I never noticed! If it could improve this rifle of mine it not being there I doubt I would notice! Thanks for the lesson. :-) Edited October 2, 2015 by Underdog
