JDog
I am sitting here watching a barley stubble which has had a decent line in for the last three afternoons. So far, in half an hour, I have seen two pigeons. In these drought times do those two pigeons represent a flight line?

Redditch
I got up this morning, and checked the fields, NOTHING. The pigeons and corvids were all on the road, eating a mile long layer of cattle feed that leaked from a trailer yesterday :( Then checked again this afternoon, and the rooks and jackdaws were on the ploughed field between a row of houses, a road, and a horse stables. :( The other fields NOTHING. The carrions were floating about on the wing, going nowhere and everywhere, but no defined flight lines. So came back home LOL

Dr D
I spied a field this morning with several hundred on the ground. I pushed them off. They did not return. All day nothing. Then about 5 I went back to have look. You guessed it. Several hundred on the ground
HIDENSEEK
One of the permissions I have close to home is in an area not well known for large numbers of pigeon.I've had a couple of good(for me) bags from barley & wheat stubble recently, and put 300/350 off the same fields today while going to feed the pheasants.Perhaps Jdogs pigeon have not heard he can't get his favourite cartridges, and have come north to get away from him?
