richg
Further to our recent day on Partridges with 410s, we now have another date with just two slots available. This is a fully driven mixed day of both Pheasants and Partridges on a different estate (near Lincoln) circa 100/120 birds Friday 23rd October. £300 plus keepers tip. No overage or underage. that's the price. so no hidden surprises. This is very cheap shooting. If you are interested PM me asap. Richard. bruno22rf
None of my business of course, and I loved the idea of the Partridge day, but I feel that Pheasants with a .410 is not a marriage made in heaven-gonna get slated, no doubt, but just my pennies worth

OJW
None of my business of course, and I loved the idea of the Partridge day, but I feel that Pheasants with a .410 is not a marriage made in heaven-gonna get slated, no doubt, but just my pennies worth Tight chokes, sensible shot size, reasonable ranges ect and it will drop them. Personally I would prefer to stick to my 12 gauge and perhaps looks for some really high bird shoots to push my personal boundaries in that respect, but fully understand the appeal to people of a day like this for the fun and also the chance to hone their skills with a smaller gauge. richg
Having already proved to our selves that the little 410 can clearly punch above its weight on Partridges we are keen to stretch it a little more on a mixed day that is a mix of Partridges and Pheasants, these will be early season birds on relatively flat land, they will be shown from both cover crops and woodland, we are not looking to shoot at birds that are out of range or clearly beyond the 410s capabilities. what we will do is have a great day out with like-minded friends shooting a gun that when pointed in the right direction can deliver the killer blow to game birds at modest ranges. After the shoot i will post a true and accurate report of our day. I still have two slots if any skeptics would like to join us on Friday the 23rd October. PM me if interested. Richard. welshwarrior
Is it 410s only or small bores (28 bore)?
