Cranfield
My Kodak Easyshare C875 uses two batteries. I have been using standard Duracell Plus AA, but they run out very quickly ( I don't use the video feature). The Handbook gives the options of; AA lithium or Ni-Mn - rechargeable, or non rechargeable. CRV3 lithium - non rechargeable. Ni-Mh - rechargeable. Of the batteries suggested, which should last the longest, or are there any longer lasting ones I can use ?
NorfolkBoy
I use the Ni-Mh - rechargeable's in my Canon S1 Sureshot Turbo Injection thingy and they last quite well. The display screen for pic and video playback really seems to sap them quickly though - so I try and stick to the viewfinder if I'm away from a power source for any time. I use the Ni-Mh also in my Sony, but the screen on any digital camera these days will kill off any AA battery pretty quickly so I stick to the viewfinder also as much as possible! humperdingle
Milli amp? Some batteries go by aH or amp-hours I believe... just a power rating thingy... the higher it is, the longer the charge will last in full use. Or something like that. the last engineer
i must admit the Energizer batteries i use in my cam's are excellant for long use, i use the digital in the shop daily, taking shots of work and parts, they last at least a month with frequent useage, the other thing is the recharge efficiency, most batteries will lack charge through memory faults, this reducing the charge held, i have not found any noticable difference in life from charging the NiMh, pretty reasonalby priced here as well, i think you can pick up a charger and 8 "AA"'s for around $15.00 about 7 quid. pin
NiMH = the type of chemistry (Nickel Metal Hydride in this case). Choose some rechargeables with the highest AH rating you can. Not looked for a while but in AA I think you can get 2700mah for next to nothing (tenner). Look for Sanyo or GP as good makes.

Best they have are 2600mah for £7.99 (panasonic), you can get 2700mah GP's or Sanyo's for that (much better than panasonic)... I will admit there are some bargains on that site, just not that great on these particular ones...
