xav
Has anyone looked at it ? The information is particularly misleading as it suggests that lead is still in use when shooting wildfowl. Besides, there is the usual allegation that eating game is dangerous.

Biddy
No the stamp you buy for your permitt is from the WHT (Wildlife and habitat trust) where all the money raised goes into conservation and loans to help clubs purchase marsh land. Not connected to the WWT.

kent
Lead shot will be in our mud and marshes for hundreds of years after the ban We have hopefully turned the tap off but the kitchen is already flooded out, it seems to be the forgotten factor in these arguments
Penelope
Kent, IMO lead isn't the real issue to the protectionists, despite what they say, shooting is. Scully
We have hopefully turned the tap off but the kitchen is already flooded out, I think you may have missed the point. As others have said, it's not about lead, it's about shooting.
