Drove up to farm had a coffee + smoke then set off to top fields of winter barley. Ground was blinking soaking walked round edges was bad enough.

Did the top 3 fields with a bit of calling nothing. Back to truck coffee and headed down to bottom fields. Walking down track to sloping field quick flick on with red pair of eyes down in front. Got rifle ready on with Archer no sign :unhappy: on with lamp again and it had come up under me by hedge 30y away through hedge and off. :unhappy: Walked on down to gate at bottom quick lamp on and there he was far end of drilled barley field. On to gate post on with Archer boom down it went . Was going to fetch it but long walk walk round field walking straight over was a no go or mate would not have been happy seeing big foot prints on drill.

Never known it to be so wet up there looked like rice fields.

Walked 30y to bridge over ditch waited a while had coffee and smoke. Started calling using rabbit, then another rabbit call on foxpro nothing. Waited a while again and set dog fox going about 25 mins past spotted a pair of eye coming from chicken shed above where i came down from. On with Archer fox heading down bank over track then came to about 150 then moused around and started towards hedge so gave him the Oi boom down it went another nice dog.

Thats 12 dogs now the last few months on this farm and not 1 vixen to be seen. :unhappy: Did see 1 more on way back but no safe shot
