We have a large traffic island that is inhabited by rabbits, so much so, the locals are always dropping carrots and greens on the grass. This obviously has to be cleaned up by the local Council and it is not suprising that myxi appears on a regular basis and wipes out the lot. It usually takes around 12 months for a fresh colony to appear, the locals drop more food, the rabbits get myxi etc. etc. Strangely enough, it is the same story around the nearby railway enbankments too !

Funny you say that!

I set my watch by the regular occurrence of myxi arriving at some local Forrest enterprises managed forestry!

One year in spring I noticed a fc land rover entering a certain forest.

At a show I asked the head honchos what they were up to. Forget what he said but I said 'so you weren't dropping myxi then'!

After a splutter he said that doing that is illegal. So I asked him how come myxi starts there like clock work?

He walked away!

😒
