Last weekend I went to a friends farm, the idea was to meet at 10 and walk round the 300 acres as he had seen pheasants about. We got to the first copse, two of us stood at one end the others walking through. Then over the radio i heard "fox fox fox" and true to it out popped a dog fox. I lifted my fun and spat 30gram no.6 at it and it dropped..

Then onto the next copse, we did the same again two stood and the rest walking through. One drey got the treatment but no one at home. A few high crows over and some noise made but they carried on there way.

Then over to the next two copse and a slow walk through, one cock bird spotted walking around. So sent the dogs in.... Two pigeons too flight and a friend dropped one with his auto. Then a squirrel jumped out and was taken nicely when mid air between trees by my mate and his 20b eell.. The cock bird by this time had time to walk happily away not to be seen..

The next day saw us go to our local clay ground, then back to look for another fox. We knew where he was so lined the field for a driven fox shoot. One of us went into the yard and scrub land and made a bit of noise, I saw the fox run the ditch towards two guns, I didnt take a shot as I could see the other gun inline behind the fox, so shouted up the line. Then two shots fired and one fox down. Me being the smallest of the group I got sent into the hedge and ditch to retrieve as they decided to take the shot before the fox came out

So two less foxes and two happy farmers.
