In older guns most favour the sxs boxlock or sidelock built by English gunmakers of the Victorian or Edwardian period

Myself I prefere the sxs hammergun

I found the quality of the older Beretta's far superior to their modern guns, to the extent I got fed up with Beretta's so I sold them and now have a Ceaser, Browning and picked up a Benelli the other week, although Benelli is part of the Beretta group.

Agree was always a big fan of Beretta's had a 686 game for 18+ years and 680 trap and early 682 trap and numerous semi autos by them. Recently however they just leave me cold, i doubt i will ever own another mainstream Beretta double again. Yet i still kept my strong affinity to miroku and Brownung.

Even the Beretta semi autos look at them the old 300 series 301 302s 303s and the Browning/Beretta B80 fantastic guns take years of use and just keep working, i started to dislike the Beretta semis with extrerma 2 for me was the start of things going wrong the mark 1 exremas were just nicer to opperate everything about it was fine but the MK 2 and worse still the A 400, not for me, again i never lost affinity to Browning winchester semi autos.
