ChrisPCarter
Does anyone know the difference between FBlack and FBlu? They seem to be exactly the same spec apart from mention of different powders but the velocity etc seem the same. Hard to tell as Fiocchi's Italian and UK websites are pretty poor. I've tried FBlack and like them but they certainly have a bit of a kick to them. Why is the FBlack a bit more expensive? Is it because they look like a cool copy of Black Gold? lol Chris. webber
The F Blu is a clubman cartridge. F Black is a competition cartridge. Reasonably sure that the F Blu propellant is single base whilst the F Black is double based. webber
Hamster
You can't get FBlue in English 8's or 7.5's for that matter which considering it's such a decent offering is a serious omission on the part of the makers and importers ! Both are essentially excellent shells let down slightly by the FBlacks loud report and tad too much kick and FBlue being a bit of an oddity. Might as well call it FDecoyedPigeon. Guest stevo
I like the f black . Just cant help thinking if they done them in a proper 7.5 they could be just about perfect ...... Maybe.
figgy
Try the F3 seen some good reviews and come in all sizes. I have used both the F-Blu and F-Black found both had a kick. The F-Black patterned a bit tighter than other cartridges.
Smokersmith
I'm working my way through a couple of thousand 28g Blu's and 24g Blacks .... both give great kills. The Blu's are a touch thumpy, but the 24g Blacks are sweet. I think I there are better shells out there, but these are not at all bad value for the price, and I'll be using both for registered trap (not DTL) events. Smokersmith
I'll give them a go ... represented Lincs in all-round and ABT when I was half as old as I am now, so hoping I can get some sort of form back. It'll help when John Winn retires though !!

That's exactly what I've found with them. They are a great price and hard shot. They just seem so similar that I can't really see what the difference is. I guess if you need a tighter pattern then go for the blacks. I have thought about using the 7.5's (7's) for pigeons myself, it's just they don't do fibre wad and I'm sure a lot of places would object to so much plastic being chucked about. Maybe the Top One would be good for that which I mentioned in another post. Haven't tried them yet. Cheers, I thought I was missing something. Chris. I've only tried the 28's but will order some 24g next time. I've been using Gamebore Evo 8 24g recently and found they break anything I can hit and I got my best score with them last week. Can't help myself trying new cartridges though!
