AVB
To knock down two internal load bearing walls, put up the necessary steelwork and do all of the necessary finishing work. Both walls are 3.5m long. I know there are many variables but just interested to know whether it is £5k, £10k, £20k or £50k. Any ideas from you builder chaps? It is in the Sarf East Many thanks
chady
Estimated of 3 - 5 grand. Where abouts are you? Edited February 25, 2016 by chady
digger
Where will the steels be installed ( is there bearing at each end ). Are the floors between the two rooms the same level ? I'd ballpark 5k to be on the safe side
Konnie
as above depends if remaining walls can carry wieght, and if you wish steel work to be flush with cieling,
AVB
Thanks very much. I was fearing £20K so even if it came in at £10K I would be happy.
WGD
How thick are the walls? We did one 5m slapping last year through a 600 thick wall holding up 3 storey. Temp works, temp works design, steelwork and infill over steel where needles had been came to just shy of £10k and the spoil was retained on site. stephensedgwick
down this way you would get change out of 5k

officerdibble777
Typically around £5k to £7k,but as you live s.e. That'll probably add £3-£4K to the end price
