SimpleSimon
Hi all I'm hoping you can shed some light (see what I did there?) on lamps for me. I've started doing a little bit of lamping and I fancy getting my own kit together, top of the list is a lamp. I know a couple of people with a T67 and I quite like them but when I tried to buy one I was confused. It seems you can buy them from different places, identical looking and identical or nearly identical names usually with a different brand badge on, for anywhere between £30 and £50. What's the deal, who actually makes them, which are genuine, is one better than another? I'm all for saving twenty quid, but not if I'm buying a poor knock off. steve_b_wales
I buy all my torches from Ludicrous Lumens. They may not be the cheapest, but you will get a genuine torch and also good customer service. I'll send you a PM with the details.

That's one of the sites I was looking at so I'm happier having had somebody vouch for them!

Your right to say they won't be the cheapest... but their kit is an absolute bargain compared to the likes of NightMaster

Both had red pils, and the XSearcher just had the edge on the T50. But, as we all know, the T50 is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Steve, what distance can you get on the T50 looking for something to sit on top on an HMR with a view to NV when can afford.

Using the T50 with the new XPE2 red pil, I could see in excess of 200+ yards. This was not in total darkness, so the range would be increased if it was. You can change the pil and fit an 'AS' IR one. I haven't tried this in this model, but have done so in a T20 and T38. The results were excellent. I can highly recommend any of the 'T' series torches, and also Ludicrous Lumens. Steve. Iv got a red led t20 on my HMR - I personally feel it's range is more then enough for rabbits, but more is always better! haha I can see rabbits out to 120-150 yards. Picked out a fox at around 180-200yards one night.
