HuskyRich
Just wondering if anybody knows any decent places that do barrel threading as I have a mossberg 590 mariner which just has a cylinder bore. I've rang a couple of local gun smiths but none of them can do it. Not overly bothered as I won't be using it for much long range shooting but was just out of interest was wondering how much it'd cost to get the barrel threaded to take chokes? If its not outrageously expensive then I'll go for it as even just a couple of chokes are handy to have. Also, would I then be limited to certain chokes that the person who bores it supplies, or could I get it threaded to take the mossberg chokes? (Be handy as I have a whole load of them knocking about) One other thing as well, the 590 mariner has a marinecote finish which is some teflon and nickel treating to stop it corroding - would that be an issue?Cheers
Paul223
To my knowledge there is only one person/firm that does this type of work, and to be fair he does it to a high standard Teague precision
Benthejockey
I bet Brock and Norris would sort you out. They're always really helpful and aren't to heavy with the pen when they write the bill.

HuskyRich
Cheers guys. Had a word with a couple people, got some rough quotes. Will probably pop it off to teague. Shame they can't cut mossberg threads, having to pay 46 odd quid per choke kinda smarts. But hey ho. Its only money innit
