the enigma
Does anyone know of any gunsmiths in Northern Ireland that work old shotguns? I've got an old 12g sxs hammer gun that dates back to probably the early 1900, which belonged to my Grandfather, that needs a new stock. Big Al
I don't know of any who make stocks in NI. If it's not too bad Gordon Newell might repair it. Pat Sludds down Wexford or Waterford way makes new stocks but it's quite a drive. I hope to go down in July. the enigma
Cheers lads. I'm not sure yet if it's feasible to sort this gun out. The stock is badly split, but the action isn't to bad. It holds more sentimental than financial value.
panoma1
On purely economical grounds I doubt it will be a viable proposition to have it restocked, even with low quality walnut, by a professional stocker?

Big Al
I've just discovered Bogglehill Gunworks in Craigavon through Facebook. He claims to do lots of woodwork - I've no personal experience but it could be worth a look. https://m.facebook.com/bogglehillgunworks/photos_stream
