Jrollsons
Ive just been in touch with my local gun shop in Kingsteignton Devon and they would arrange some test shoots on a Thursday evening which is great. I hope that they arent just salesman though and give me advice on fit etc. Which models do you think I should ask to try out. Silver pigeon 1, Browning 525/725, Miroku MK38/MK70. Anything else you can think of? Really appreciate all the advice given, thanks again.
rabbit_stu
If its not too far, head down to Cartridge clay ground near Landrake. Dave will talk you through gun fit and you can try before if its second hand. Well worth the visit.
Duckandswing
I would buy a second hand Beretta, browning, miroku or Winchester for around £1000. Then with the remaining cash I'd get a nice semi auto and a pump. Variety is the spice of life.
dougall
shoot both, both hold value well.most folk are either slim beretta or handful of miroku/browning....if you like pink corduroy trousers go for the beretta,if you like english mustard/brown sauce real ale go Miroku. Buy secondhand and cant see you losing money on either.Lightweight not ideal for clays.

Btw I have no idea what coloured trousers you'll need for one of them
Westward
Which models do you think I should ask to try out. Silver pigeon 1, Browning 525/725, Miroku MK38/MK70. Anything else you can think of? As said earlier, ask them for a CG. Once you've shot a Guerini you won't be interested in any of the others. Jrollsons
I suspect the CG summit may be slightly out of my price range.
Westward
BTW I meant to put a after my post above. A used Summit shouldn't bust your budget though and they are a step up from the usual mid range guns.
