reggiegun
What powder are you guys using for your 357 lever actions. Using 158 grain FPJ for 50 yard
saddler
Bullseye Red Dot 2400 some old Nobel Revolver 1? Revolver 2? (tin not to hand...) etc. Given the number of decades since EK developed the cartridge, ALL the reloading manuals WILL have a wealth of 158-gr bullet recipes in them. What manuals are you using? What's an FPJ?

Vince Green
2400 is the "traditional" powder of choice for .357 but I tend to use 5grns of bullseye. Its not a full magnum load but when you are only making holes in bits of paper it doesn't matter all that much.
Imperfection
I prefer to use Bluedot with 357 as its a clean burning powder, but they ran out last time and i ended up with filthy Unique.
bang bang birdy
Bullseye in my Marlin 3.1grains but I'm only shooting 25 yards indoors
Vince Green
The difficulty with using a lever rifle for target shooting with magnum loads is the barrels get very hot and the point of impact shifts. Its mostly friction so jacketed bullets are worse than lead. So long as you are aware of it its not really a problem
