buze
Been shooting the 27g super fast in fiber lately, and they work really well -- I just signed up to a ground that allows plastic, and I've been working quite a bit on the skeet range to improve my score -- so i'm looking for the best price/quality point for a 24g plastic; possibly with slightly smaller shots... Any suggestions?
fenboy
For skeet I would use steel , you should be able to pick up gamebore supersteel 24 gram up for £130- £140 / 1000

I use them through a non steel proof Miroku with no issues at all.

I used to use plastic wad 28gm 9s for skeet, can`t remember what make they were though. Recently I`ve been using fibre Blue Diamond 28gm 9s at the pub league where there are lots of close range targets. They`re a nice cartridge but a touch more pricey than my usual loads at £50 a slab. I have been doing well with them though.
Guest cookoff013
Steel and skeet is the bomb. Even steel 9 are good!
ElvisThePelvis
24g in 9 white gold steel for skeet, 24g Evo in 8 for sporting, nothing that they can't break if you do your bit, pattern better than 28g as well

He was asking for best price point , that is likely to be steel , at skeet ranges steel is going to be just as effective as lead and 24 grams of steel will contain many more pellets than 24 grams of lead. Ah ok fenboy, that makes sense, cheers. Might have to try some of those myself.

I was using 24 gram super steel 7.5s on sporting targets Sunday and they were giving some great kills , I would be happy with them for anything other than long range edge on targets. I`ll have to get a price on some. As long as they cycle through my semi, and I see no reason why they wouldn`t.

motty
Me included. They also do a decent job on pigeons, too, as you know. I know guys who use them in a semi without issues.

Definitely worth a try then if they double as a pigeon load.
motty
Not a long range pigeon load, but easily good for 35 yards. Definitely worth a try then if they double as a pigeon load.
Danger-Mouse
Not a long range pigeon load, but easily good for 35 yards. Sounds good. I`m not a fan of long range shooting anyway. I`ve just asked for a price on a slab.
