B25Modelman
In total contrast to the Botley Gun shop the Chichester Armoury is worth a visit if you are in the area. Not only are there many guns to look at, the proprietor, Simon, is very knowledgeable and knows his guns. dob
I live near Chichester , been there. Few times ,found them expensive, fair range of shotguns but hardly any rifles, I rather travel to Salisbury and go to Greenfields .

Yes Simon said no call for rifles in that area so he has stopped dealing in them. I also go to Greenfields and they are not cheap with guns. Got a good deal on cartridges recently though. hello, i lived there many years but then the gun shop was in south street if i remember right Yes they moved to West Street. steve d
Dunno where you are but Bookham Guns near Leatherhead is worth a visit, proper old school shop with the gunsmiths bench covered in **** and literally hundreds of guns from £100-£7000
Chris Bb
I certainly won't disagree with you about the Botley shop. Mind you, the one it replaced was even worse, I've never experienced such a poor attitude towards customers as was displayed by its staff. Such a pity as we've so few in this part of the world. Prospero
They are a bit posh for me. I did have a bit of a laugh though, we were chatting about air guns and he took a look at me and gave me some advice on letting my Grandchildren only use air weapons with supervision, my oldest daughter was 10 at the time. Prospero
Ummm, you missed the point B25... It wasn't the (unnecessary) advice, it's the fact he thought I was so old I had grandchildren!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny? Sad? I'll let you decide!
