Smokersmith
Well my long standing workhorse has failed it's MOT ... brake pipes corroded. I now have to consider wether I keep it going, or pull forward the change of my other vehicle(A6), and get an Amrock or something. If someone's local to South Lincs. and they want to have a look then please PM me. It's done less than 100k miles and the six cylinder 2.8 engine is sweet. I've not trade the decision to sell yet, hence why it's not in the for sale section. Just thought I'd see if anyone was looking for a massive 4x4! TONY R
I would love it the best 4x4 ever made in my opinion anywhere i love the things, what a truck. But sadly i just cant aford to run one mate had one for a couple of years we went everywhere in it up to uist wildfowling two years northern firths fantastic , but it only did 22MPG it was that simple. If your used to running it why on earth would you want to sell that just change the brake pipes buy a roll of pipe borow or even buy a flaring tool of ebay do the job and relist it after you have done the job. Thats my advice. PM me the price please and a contact number i will ask about, if its cheap i might just buy it to run on red parked in the farm just to listen to that engine , google diesel brothers Nissan see what they did to one, If i sound like a fan i am. Edited July 26, 2016 by TONY R

kshooter
Get it on a axle stands mask bits up quick clean and spray it with waxoyl, what they can't see they can't fail, failing that as said but a roll of pipe and tools and do it yourself
ajb403
Get it on a axle stands mask bits up quick clean and spray it with waxoyl, what they can't see they can't fail Fine till the hidden corroded bit gives out while under pressure and you lose your brakes... Thanks for those who were interested, I've decided to get the job done and get another season out of her.

four-wheel-drive
Get it on a axle stands mask bits up quick clean and spray it with waxoyl, what they can't see they can't fail, failing that as said but a roll of pipe and tools and do it yourself When I first got my suzuki vitara the I got the guy in the MOT garage that I have all of my repairs done to put it up on the ramp and give it a good look underneath and he said that some of the brake pipes was a bit rusty so I gave him a can of waxoyl and got him to spray them with it. The funny part was some months later when I took it in for its MOT he put on the things to watch next time that he could not check the brake pipes as someone had put underseal on them he had forgotten that it was him made me laugh. Some years ago a chap who lived a couple of doors down from me had an old Nissan patrol he had it for years it had no rust in it and it was built like a battleship he loved it but his wife hatted it to workman like for her both of them are long dead now but I would not be surprised if that old Nissan was still going somewhere. If it has not got much rust in it I would be tempted to get all of the work done on it may cost a bit but its like an old land rover patch them up and they will go on for ever not like the modern trucks where its the electrics that kill them all in the end.
