Hendrix's rifle
Just a quick one, I have downloaded an app on my mobile phone that is a fox call with many different calls on it. If I used a Bluetooth speaker connected to my phone 15-20 yards away using said calls would it work? Has anyone else tried it? Cheers
steve_b_wales
It depends on what calls you have. If there are vermin ones, such as 'rabbit in distress', then that would be a good one. If you have some of Foxes calling, then they would be good during the pairing up/mating season, from around late September.
Thegogg
Good question as i've also done the same so I'm looking forward to reading the replies
robbiep
Personally, I'm not keen on the bluetooth type of caller for foxing. The speaker is pretty close to you, and the fox is highly likely to spot / scent you. Far better the Ucaller type, where you are 50-100 yards from the speaker. Nothing else close to the noise to distract charlie from coming in.

But there are also many examples on Youtube of shooting foxes with shotguns where foxes are called in very close to the shooter.
Donegalcharlie
Me and the other fella I shoot with always called them in by hand for shotgun work, then we invested in the Iotec Gc500 fox call and that yoke is worth its weight in gold!! We went out on to the hill out the caller out got ready turned it on and with in 3 mins MAX we had 1 vixen and 4 cubs bouncing towards it! It is well worth the money lads!!
