Private car reg help

Hi guys

Can someone help me with a private plate query please.

I have already put my wife's private plate on retention after I sold her car. I have just bought her a new to us car and that came with a private plate which I don't particularly need. I don't think it's worth very much but I think, it was originally bought for around £250, but it's still worth the effort to get something back rather than nothing.

I am aware it's £80 to put it on retention if I had to, but what is the most economical way to get it off the car, selling and getting my old plate onto the new car? Or is it not worth the effort and do I just transfer my plate to the car and forget this one?

In case anyone likes to call themselves Jill in their spare time, the car reg in question is J111 DNP

thanks

Cos

There are loads of J111 registrations for £250 including the DVLA transfer fee.

Best bet would be, as said, if you have any friends called Jill get them to pay the transfer fee and give it away or let it go for a nominal fee.

If you cant be bothered with that just lose it.

OK thanks guys

Seems not really worth anything from my side.

If anyone who has a Jill and would like it, as long as you pay the £80 transfer fee, you are welcome to it, but I need it doing pretty quick as i want to put my plate on it. If I don't get any takers, I will go ahead and just let DVLA take it back

thanks for the advice.
